Seeking the Soul of a Garden
Dig, dig, digging deep. New roots need soft soil and plenty of room to stretch out in. You never know which way they'll spread or just how far. I have so many questions. And I come here dig, dig, digging for answers.
Deep within each of us lies a garden. An intensely personal place, this landscape grows from a rich blend of ingredients - imagination, memory, character, and dreams. - that combine in wonderful ways in our innermost selves.
I leave the old weeds and grass in, turning them under so they may add their nutrients to the soil where more desired plants will grow. A very big sacrifice to ask, but I know it is the way of the Goddes, it is what I have learned on Her path.
Throughout most of our lives, this garden remains hidden from view save for brief glimpses during moments spent daydreaming or in quiet contemplation.
I think of what will be planted here, determined not to repeat the old mistakes of careless planting. This time I want to get it right. I have the the knowledge and the resources. I just need to apply them. I'm free to create the garden of my dreams.
Our garden represents a personal paradise - a beautiful place designed specifically to capture the most positive and refreshing memories; a place that is both a sanctuary from everyday life and a place of rejuvenation; a place available to you at all times.
Designing a garden is a journey of discovery . . .you will open yourself up to the world within and around you, finding meaning in heightened feelings and perceptions, and long lost memories.
I call to the Mother Herself and I give thanks. I give my thanks for the beauty and blessings you have bestowed upon this little piece of garden that I tend. I have come to dig, dig, and in digging deep I find the treasure of me. The space to grow. New roots need soft soil. You never know which way they'll spread or just how far.
